How do I get to Ghana?

Plane tickets are not included, but we will help with flight information and suggestions. Air France, KLM, Turkish Airlines, Delta, and United Airlines all fly to Ghana. The main International Airport in Accra is Kotoka International Airport. We will begin sharing preferred flight information with confirmed travelers in February.

What will I need for this trip?

We will begin sharing travel tips, recommendations, and a suggested packing list with confirmed travelers in the private Facebook group. Here are a few items that you’ll need for this trip:

  • Ghanaian Visa ( www.ghanaembassydc.org ), (www.ghanaconsulatear.org )
  • Immunizations (Yellow Fever, Covid, any other recommended by your doctor)
  • Bike and travel bike case (hard case recommended)
  • All your riding gear including tools and spare tubes, tires, cleats
  • Any preferred snacks you might not find in Ghana
  • First Aid Kit
How will I get around in Ghana?

Transportation to included activities will be by a professionally licensed driver in an air-conditioned bus. Transportation of bikes and related gear will also be provided on cycling days. However, if you wish to visit other places not on the itinerary, taxis and Uber services are readily available to move around. For safety, we suggest tour group participants always travel with a trusted local.

What if I want to do other activities?

That’s great; we hope you do! The itinerary is structured so you will have some free time to plan your own outings and activities or just chill and soak up the Ghana vibe. It’s up to you. The only suggestion, for your safety, is make sure you are with a trusted local-preferably from the Gladiator Cycling Club- if you choose to venture out on your own.

First, that will be very disappointing because we really want you with us! But we understand that sometimes stuff happens. In the event you need to back out of the trip after you’ve started making payments, you will have 2 options:

  1. You can find someone to take your place and take over the payments.
  2. Depending on when you cancel, you can get a Partial Refund (minus the NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit).

IMPORTANT: You’d have to let us know in writing that you can’t make it.  Here’s more info on how to cancel.
