Day 3 and we leave Accra for the 4 hour drive to the Central Region of Ghana for two excursions. First we head to Kakum National Park in the rain forest for the famous canopy walks. Then we head to the Cape Coast Castle.

The experiences were so different. From challenging our fears walking thousands of feet above the rain forest to walking in the footsteps of our ancestors during their captivity while awaiting transport to the Americas and Carrribean on the slave ships.

A special thanks to the Cycle Ghana crew for the special prayer for Michelle Banks, myself, and our son Antoine Banks. It was a special moment that will live with us forever.

The castle part of the trip was a struggle emotionally. The pictures only give you a sense of what we experienced. We felt this place deep down in our souls and the tears flowed for all of us.
